Tawny Owl
Managed to spot this young tawny owl in a local park while it was just still light enough to get some half decent pictures.

Anglesey
We had a long weekend away in Anglesey, where I celebrated my 45th birthday. The wildlife was a bit elusive and we didn’t see any of the anticipated red squirrels, but we did see swallows, rabbits, kestrels, baby robins, and even a couple of puffins (from a distance!)

Zoomies

Sleepy fox cub
We caught this fox cub having a bit of quiet time under our neighbour’s bench this evening.

Feeding time
Very few birds in the garden today, so here are some from the last few weeks, when the starlings, sparrows, and blue tits were feeding their babies!

A walk in the park
Our local park is full of birds, but they have been quite elusive recently, always really high up in the trees, so we can hear them, but can’t see them. Oh well, got a squirrel and a few water birds, as well as a couple of Luna shots.

Greenfinches and friends
Today was a good day for greenfinches, although they’re so yellow I’m not sure why they’re not called yellowfinches.

Birds and a bee
Quite a few different birds around today: Blue tit, greenfinch, goldfinch, magpie, wood pigeon, and a juvenile blackbird.
