I’d had a few unsuccessful trips out looking for Kingfishers along Porter Brook recently, first seeing nothing, then seeing them but not getting any photos. Finally I went out on a whim yesterday, and just as I was about to head home, spotted this one sitting on a branch. As I lifted my camera, it dove to catch a fish (which I missed), but I managed to capture it as it landed back on the branch to eat its catch. Would have liked to get a bit closer, but I’ll take it.
